Who can see your viewing activity?
Hi from Birmingham, Alabama!
Welcome everyone! Please make sure you change your chat from All Panelists to All Panelists and Attendees
Used to be American Institute, if I recall
Welcome everyone! We are so glad to have you with us today. Please don’t hesitate to ask your questions in the chat throughout today’s webinar.
It was a good report- got me thinking about what we do now
For those who have not read it, you can find the report here: https://blog.degreed.com/how-workforce-learns-in-and-beyond-flow-of-work/?utm_source=internal+degreed+team&utm_campaign=2c36cc0a78-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_01_03_11_47_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0a103b7386-2c36cc0a78-329579461
Influencer Network - like ti
This is also reflected in the Gallup report on Millennials https://www.gallup.com/workplace/238073/millennials-work-live.aspx
This is such a great point, Lori!
Meant to send this to all... I never expected my role as a learning professional to include features of social influencers! But to promote the platform we need to build contributors and influencers much like Instagram!
I LOVED Bethann's demo of their template pathways and plans and we've been working to build out the concept for our learners
You got it, Greg :)
How are they defining "actively engaged"?
That’s a good questions, Sarah. You have the ability to define your own activity criteria. For example, Degreed recently launched a feature to help with this type of goal, called the active learner. In order to achieve this, the learner should 1) have completed at least 5 items2) Have shared at least 1 item3) Follow at least 3 skills4) Have logged in within the past 30 days
The first three skills are what Kelly Palmer calls "power skills"
Degreed button is great for personal curation and L&D curation
Degreed Button = greatest thing since sliced bread
@Lori - Yes!
We agree, Greg! In addition to the Sharing capability, you can even add items directly to your Catalog or into a Plan straight from the Degreed Button. It’s a great tool for quick curation
Q: How can we find out about the "Make Learning a Habit" campaign?
I have pushed the limits of the platform with the number of pathways I've curated for myself every time I find one or more articles that spark an idea for a great topic others would benefit from
Hi Greg - we will share some information with you after the webinar. Please work with your Degreed representative and they will be able to get you the information you need.
@Lori - "To infinity, and beyond!"
@Greg - I like how you think, sir!
That’s great, Lori! Have you considered creating a personal development Plan that can house all of your personal Pathways and content you’ve curated along the way?
Oh indeed :-) I'm our curation manager and I'm trying everything there is to try so I can educate our "curious curators in the wild"
Such a good practice, Lori!
@Lori - I lead some curation workshops at work to encourage and skill up others in the organization. I'm happy to share my slide set with you.
Our Degreed partner is checking around, but I'm curious about people on the call as well - has anyone integrated Degreed with a rewards program to allow people to choose from swag based on points achievements? We're trying to find someone who's done something like this to possibly replicate their program or at least learn from it
Looking forward to getting this resource. We encourage our staff to make their 1:1s employee led, but this will very greatly add to our Q1 efforts around career development from a manager's perspective.
Here is the campaign: https://degreed.helpdocs.io/article/wil6aigi0h-make-learning-a-habit-campaign
I love the new "rainbow" around the learner image - a great new feature!
@Greg - I would love to see your curation slides as well if you are willing to share them. My email is email@example.com Thanks!
@greg - agreed - I would like to see these as well as we are just starting to hone curation as a skill
Definitely, @Greg! Count me in via firstname.lastname@example.org
@greg - email@example.com is my email from above comment
We have a lot of content we can share with you as well... when to curate vs create, choosing quality sources, sharing hierarchy. etc.
Appreciate the chance to hear more - thanks Degreed team!
Thank you all for your time today! We look forward to seeing you next week!
Thanks for the session!
